InfoComm 2022
Attracts Almost 20K
Attendees
Successful show in Las Vegas welcomed
pro AV integrators with 500+ exhibitors,
loads of education sessions and
heightened sense of community.

INFOCOMM 2022 returned
to Las Vegas in June, with
a verified attendance of
19,681, according to AVIXA.
The pro AV industry
trade show featured networking
events, education
sessions, and 522 exhibitors
across 294,500 square feet
of the Las Vegas Convention
Center.
" InfoComm is the only
place in North America
where the entire ecosystem
of the pro AV industry gathers
- from manufacturers
to distributors to integrators
to end users, " said
David Labuskes, CTS, CAE,
RCDD, CEO of AVIXA.
" We saw thousands of AV
professionals make the trip
to Las Vegas to learn from
each other and experience
innovative technology in
person. AVIXA is proud
to play host to such an
incredible group of industry
professionals as they spent
their week advancing their
businesses and careers and
gaining inspiration to take

That's a sentiment
echoed by the editors of
CE Pro sister publication
Commercial Integrator, Dan
Ferrisi and Amala Reddie,
who took in long days exploring
the InfoComm show
floor and nights networking
with attendees.
" It has been said by some
that InfoComm '22 was 'the
show that we needed.' As a
member of the #avtweeps
community and a keen
observer of commercial
AV conversation, I can't
think of more apt words
to describe the week that
we all spent in Las Vegas, "
Ferrisi noted of this year's
experience.

After last October's pandemic-delayed InfoComm in Orlando,
Fla., saw light attendance, the pro AV industry appeared
to come out in full force for this year's event in Las Vegas.

that attracted only 7,335
attendees, this year's exposition
and crowd of nearly
20,000 show-goers represented
a return to strength
and a energizing launchpad
for the rest of the year.
For her first-time attendance
to InfoComm, Reddie
noted her initial visit to
the press room, where Joé
Lloyd, senior director of
communications for AVIXA,
welcomed her with a big
smile and a warm hug. " That
made me feel more at ease, "
she said. She alluded to
the fact that InfoComm
occupied such large halls,
while also referencing the
throngs of people and the
massive exhibits, calling all
of it " ... a little bit intimidating.
But, once that hug
came through, I knew I was
in good hands. "
David Danto, director
of emerging technology
with the IMCCA, as well as
director of UC strategy and
research with Poly, agrees
with Ferrisi that the pro
AV community has become
the real seat of power.
" The community that has
built up in the AV and the
collaboration space online
... is almost even bigger than
the show, " he told the CI
editor. " It's also just this
fodder - this base - for
the community to get back
together with each other,
and everybody loved it. "
InfoComm 2023 will take
place in Orlando, Fla., on
June 10-16 (Exhibits June
14-16) at the Orange County
Convention Center.
