Vivint Launches
Smart Lighting Bundle
The $300 package includes eight smart bulbs powered by
Zigbee, two Vivint Smart Light Switches and a Vivint Smart

an NRG company, has
announced the launch of
Vivint Smart Lighting, a
lighting solution that enables
users to place switches
anywhere throughout
the home without the need
for extensive electrical
work. This is made possible
through the product's use
of the Zigbee standard.

New Book Delves into Circadian Lighting Impact
THE LIGHT DOCTOR is a new book about circadian lighting and
how lighting impacts human health by Dr. Martin Moore-Ede,
who has been studying the human circadian clock and electric
light for roughly 40 years. Originally a professor at Harvard Medical
School, he led the team that essentially located the part of
the brain responsible for regulating the human circadian clock.
From there he went on to join the Circadian Lighting
Research Center team in 2010, where he and his colleagues
identified the aspects of blue light that help synchronize human
circadian clocks. Because of his research, Dr. Moore-Ede
now acts as a lighting consultant to about half of all Fortune
500 companies.

mainstay within the Canadian
lighting fixture market,
has announced sales
support for the custom
integration channel.
Integrators have shown
significant interest regarding
the category, allowing
industry events like
Lightapalooza to reach phenomenal
heights, while firms
such as Light Can Help You,
Kaleidolight and Lighting
BOSS increase their support
in helping integrators discover
the new vertical.
The Vivint Smart Lighting
Bundle, marking the
company's official entry into
the smart lighting category,
is slated for availability this
month and will cost $299.99
with a flat $5 monthly service
fee. The bundle consists
of three core components:
