CEDIA Expo Wrap-up
Sonos - The popular whole-house audio and home theater
company had an interesting booth layout. Divided into two
sections, one half featured the company's residential products.
The other half of the booth emphasized Sonos' new
Sonos Pro commercial platform. This new product offering
runs on the company's S2 OS, and it will offer integrators a
host of features, including a web dashboard, remote management,
and an array of commercial music services.
Sony - The big electronics company touted its full support
of the modern video chain, going from Sony's movie studio
releases to its displays and projectors, to source components
and audio. The booth and theater demos featured
Sony's impressive 4K SXRD projectors, including its flagship
VPL-GTZ380 laser model, and gorgeous Crystal LED solutions
among the highlights.

generation, " explains Stealth VP Brian Azzano. " It's a new
thing for us, and ultimately it's going to replace our wood

Azzano notes other enhancements include greater efficiency
from transducer drivers; a new way of mounting the
woofer into the speaker assembly to help produce tighter,
punchier bass; a new frame that's been injection-molded
at its newly expanded headquarters facility; and a new
beveled-edge design, allowing for easier and more seamless
installation in more types of wall finishes.
Vanco - One of the products that stood out was its new
4×2 Video Wall Switcher, which does more than the name
implies. The switch supports a range of video wall applications
for light commercial and commercial installations, including
sports bars and restaurants. With the product's tiling
option, the switcher is also a sports fan's best friend via its
ability to show multiple games on a single screen.

Control Companies Enhance
Experiences, Integration Capabilities
AirZone - The 25-year-old Spanish company enables advanced
communications between HVAC systems and home
control and automation systems without sacrificing important
HVAC system functions. AirZone's Aidoo line bridges
that to support control systems from Crestron, Lutron,
Control4 and others.
Once HVAC systems are integrated into smart home
environments using its Aidoo products, the company says
that integrators can program schedules, scenes and more to
provide homeowner comfort. Also, the product line delivers
HVAC system efficiency to help homeowners minimize the
impact of utility companies rate hikes.
Stealth Acoustics
Stealth Acoustics - The Mount Vernon, Wash., company
unveiled a slick new logo for Stealth's 20th anniversary as
well as its 8th generation of invisible loudspeaker technology
that it has become known for in the industry. The new
LinearRadiance speakers ramp up the design, audio performance
and build quality for integrators to show customers
and interior designers.

Control4 - Snap One automation brand Control4 released
the latest version of its operating system, OS 3.4, and showcased
the new controllers such as its elegant Halo Touch
remote, which features a 3.2-inch color touchscreen with a
new GUI, backlit buttons, push-to-talk voice commands and
dual-band Wi-Fi support.
The OS improvements are said to enhance the homeowner's
user experience including enabling them to customize
settings ordinarily managed by dealers. From their cloud-service
subscriptions, clients can create admin and standard
account types, and shore up security by establishing that
only admins can invite and edit users, define roles, access
account information and update property details.
Other updates in OS 3.4 include: better surveillance camera
experience with in-app audio and Live View indicator
upgrades; redesigned lighting control page for easier color
