'Connected to the Community'
highlights worthy efforts in
residential, commercial and
security integration industries
over the past year.

Connected to the
munity
EVERY YEAR, we at CE Pro like to highlight some of
the altruistic activities that members of the integration
community have gotten involved with to give back to the
community at-large. For this year's edition, we're looking at
some examples of good deeds in the residential, commercial
and security integration industries.
Since we began compiling these annual " Connected to the
Community " items, we're always happy to share stories about
the continued good work being done between industry vendors
and the Gary Sinise Foundation to supply smart home
technologies to wounded military veterans, and this year is
no diff erent as a Nice North America project showed the
impact of simplifying daily tasks for this owner.
In the past couple of years, CE Pro has also chronicled the
initiative of UK-based Together For Cinema, an industry charitable
organization that works with donors to create theater
rooms at children's hospices and we start there with another
fantastic installation to kick off this year's " Connected to the
Community " praises.

Brighten Andy's Children's Hospice
TOGETHER FOR CINEMA continued its eff orts to deliver
a bit of movie magic to help brighten the days for children's
hospice patients and their families. To date, founder Ian
Morrish and a support network of manufacturer sponsors,
distributors and local integrators have created 37 cinema
rooms for such facilities, donating time, labor and equipment
worth more than $1 million U.S. dollars (or £910,000).
