Formed to Oversee Stable
of Audio Brands
THE LENBROOK GROUP of
Companies, owner of globally
recognized home audio
brands that include NAD
Electronics, PSB Speakers,
Bluesound, and the BluOS
hi-res multiroom platform,
has created a new business
unit: Lenbrook Media Group.
Industry veteran Mike
Jbara will head up the
new business unit
The Canadian company
says the new Lenbrook Media
Group business entity
will more effectively enable
the commercialization and
development of its content
management solutions, as
well as pursue new opportunities
that fit its vision to
offer increased choices for
quality audio.
With the BluOS content
management platform at
its core, this group will
also oversee the growth of
content encoding solutions
MQA and SCL6, which
Lenbrook acquired in the
autumn of 2023.

Lenbrook Media Group
will be led by newly appointed
vice president and
general manager, Mike Jbara,
the former MQA CEO and
Warner Music executive.

Jbara and Lenbrook Media
Group colleague, Andy
Dowell, head of licensing,
were at January's CES in Las
Vegas discussing licensing,
integration, and other opportunities
with attendees.

MC2.1KW Monoblock
Amp Marks McIntosh's
75th Anniversary
MCINTOSH, which
is celebrating its
75th Anniversary in
2024, has just announced
the launch
of its new MC2.1KW
Monoblock Power
Amplifier.
According to the
acclaimed Binghamton,
N.Y.-based
company, the newly
introduced monoblock
amp is one of the most powerful amplifiers it has ever
produced. The tri-chassis MC2.1KW possesses the ability
to deliver 2,000 Watts of power to offer a high-level user
experience-a good follow-up to the McIntosh PS2K Power
The amp's output module
houses McIntosh's bi-filar wound
Autoformer, and two Power
Modules that each contain a
1,000-watt amplifier.
Subwoofer announced last year at CEDIA Expo 2023.

McIntosh boasts the new MC2.1KW transforms the
two-channel home audio reproduction experience to mark its
milestone anniversary. To commemorate it, McIntosh points
out the first 75 pairs of MC2.1KW sold in 2024 to each country
McIntosh is distributed in will include special anniversary
badging with " 75 Years " engraved in the handles and a special
medallion with the company's 75th logo on top to establish
these models as collector's items for McIntosh enthusiasts.
Following the MC2KW's introduction in 2005, the next
generation MC2.1KW offers many sonic upgrades. Chief
among those are substantially larger filter capacitors that
improve the performance of low-end frequencies, as well as
significantly improving dynamic headroom.
There are patented Solid Cinch speaker binding posts
for 2 Ohms, 4 Ohms, and 8 Ohms, with the connectors for
each impedance rating located on a separate platform on
the back of the output module. Each output platform also
has three sets of identical binding posts to facilitate bi- or
tri-wiring loudspeakers.
