JL Audio Launches
Custom Shop
JL AUDIO HAS ANNOUNCED the launch of its JL Audio
Custom Shop as a way to personalize and order factory customized
M6 and M7 marine loudspeakers and subwoofers to
match any desired aesthetic.
" Sonically, M6, and M7 coaxial speakers and subwoofers can
be custom tuned to deliver incredibly high-quality audio in any
open-air environment. With Custom Shop we're taking the
customized marine audio experience to another level by providing
customers the ability to also dial in the looks of their M6
and M7 products without compromising performance or voiding
warranties, " says Andy Oxenhorn, president at JL Audio.
To customize an M6 or M7 product, customers can visit JL
Audio Custom Shop online and select the speaker or subwoofer
they would like to
customize. From there, users
can change the JL Audio badge
color, and pick from a variety
of custom paint colors or
patterns for the speaker grille

unlimited color options, or hard-wired to achieve one of seven
color options.
JL Audio Custom Shop allows customers to pick the following
colors and patterns for speaker grille and trim ring: Gloss
White, Warm White, Cream, Beige, Chrome, Silver, Titanium,
Red, Blue, Gray Metallic, Anthracite, Satin Black and hydro-dipped
Carbon Fiber. More colors and pattern options are
to be added in the future.
Trinnov Debuts iOS Remote
Control App
TRINNOV AUDIO HAS ANNOUNCED a new iOS remote
control app for its Altitude and Amethyst processors. The
high-performance French manufacturer states that with the
introduction of this app, its users will have an easier time controlling
their processors.
" Our iOS App gives Trinnov Altitude and Amethyst owners
a new and highly useful way to easily control their Trinnov
processors without an external control system, " says Arnaud
Laborie, CEO, Trinnov Audio. " This is a further example of
our commitment to provide Trinnov owners with continuing
improvements and added features. "
Via the App, users can access functions on their processors
including volume control; level, mute and dim; preset selection;
and optimizer bypass.
App control for the Altitude32, Altitude16 and Amethyst include
source selection, and app control for the Altitude32 and
Altitude16 include listening mode selection, and the displaying
of format content that is playing.
The Cinema Designer (TCD)
2.0 Rolls Out
A NEW VERSION OF THE CINEMA DESIGNER (TCD) has
launched. TCD 2.0 is a software tool for home cinema design
used by integrators worldwide with its technical calculations
and intuitive workflow to create home cinema designs in just
minutes.
Founded in 2014 by Guy Singleton, TCD is committed to
making home cinema design a standards-driven process.
Since early 2022, when ownership of the software returned
to its original creators, the TCD team has been working to
create a ground-up redesign.
" TCD is committed to providing our users with the most
advanced and intuitive tool for home cinema design, " says
Singleton. " These new features are the result of our extensive
redesign, and we believe they will make the home cinema
design process even more efficient, enjoyable and profitable
for our users. "
Recently the company completed its redesign and said it
anticipated TCD 2.0 would launch mid-March 2023. The update
will automatically enable access at no extra cost to new features
and enhanced functionality, such as:
3D model to build your cinema environment.
Bass and model wave forms to show where those nulls and
room modes will occur.
Interactive speaker layouts that move real-time with the
MLP location.
Database features allowing the user/designer to add their
own products for each design.
VR viewer inside the browser window in real-time.
CABS (double bass array) features.
Acoustic treatment placement (within predetermined zones
for absorption, diffusion, reflection, and bass manage ment)
