outing of Lightapalooza, the
channel's premier lighting
conference exhibits massive
growth, excitement, and hopeful
outlooks for the category's impact
on the custom integration

LIGHTAPALOOZA
2024 took place in
late February, and the
growth of the event has
mirrored the rapid ascension
lighting fixtures and controls
in the custom integration
industry. Based on my
experience at the event, the
one question that is at the
top of my mind is: Where do
we go from here?
In one quick year since
HTSA - the well-respected
buying group that launched
the conference in 2022 -
opened it to the public,
Lightapalooza has already
doubled in size in terms of
both attendees and exhibitors.
From all that I saw while
at the show, it seems interest
is nowhere near leveling out.
Talking about registered
attendees with HTSA Director,
New Technology Tom
Doherty, the brains behind
this explosive channel
event, Lightapalooza 2024
welcomed 1,283 confirmed
registrants by the show's
Monday open. That's nearly
twice last year's 685 attendees
and 6x what the inaugural
Lightapalooza saw from
2022's HTSA-only crowd.
The show floor at the Renaissance
Phoenix Glendale
Hotel and Spa in Glendale,
Ariz., also expanded,
attracting plenty of new
exhibitors while returning
exhibitors sought to expand
their booth presence.
The Biggest Lighting
Education Event
To really get an understanding
of how popular
Lightapalooza 2024 was
though, we need to look at
its biggest component: the
