CTA Appoints Fabrizio as
New President; Shapiro
Retains CEO Role
THE CONSUMER Technology Association (CTA) is making
a big change atop its leadership, recently announcing
Kinsey Fabrizio as president of CTA. Gary Shapiro, long-time
president and CEO, will relinquish the president title but will
continue to serve as CEO, the association states.
Previously, Fabrizio served as senior vice president CES
and Membership. In her new role, she will sit on the Executive
Board and will be responsible for the following
departments: CES, CTA Membership, CTA Conferences and
Marketing and Communications.
Fabrizio will also speak for the association on all matters.
As CEO, Shapiro will be responsible for all association activities
including CES, public
policy, research and standards.
Fabrizio will continue
to report to Shapiro.
Shapiro has been with CTA
for over 40 years and recently
agreed to another multiyear
contract.

Fabrizio joined the association in 2008 in the membership
department. She led successful efforts to expand CTA into
several new areas including disruptive innovation, content
and digital health, the association notes.
She was promoted to vice president membership in 2019
and led a major membership model and dues restructure
in 2021. In 2022, Fabrizio became senior vice president and
soon added responsibility overseeing CES sales, which expanded
dramatically under her leadership.
In 2023, she added responsibility for all of CES, including
international media events, conferences and operations.
CES 2024 was a big success with over 4,300 exhibitors and
135,000+ attendees.
Fabrizio graduated from George Mason University in 2003
with a double major in Government and International Politics
and Spanish and completed her MBA from the University
of Maryland Global Campus in 2022.

Marking its 60th anniversary, the KBIS (Kitchen & Bath
Industry) event staged in February saw 41,500+ registered
attendees as part of Design & Construction Week.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA)-owned
event was held February 27-29, 2024, in Las Vegas and was
part of Design & Construction Week (DCW), the co-location
with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)'s
International Builders' Show (IBS), which also reached
record-breaking attendance.

numerous strong numbers that should pique the interest of
custom integrators who are seeking to forge relationships
with the KBIS design community: 117,000 DCW registered
visitors; over 41,500 KBIS registered visitors; 670+ exhibitors,
a 30% increase from 2023; over 260 new exhibitors, a
40% increase from 2023; and more than 200 international
exhibitors, a 35% increase from 2023.
KBIS 2024 Best Booth Award winners featuring an array
of beautiful, creative, and innovative booth designs. KBIS
recognized winners across five categories: Best of Show
Booth, KOHLER; Best Booth Small Winner, LAPITEC;
Best Booth Medium Winner, TECHLAM; Best Booth Large
Winner, House of Rohl; Best Booth Honorable Mention,
Caesarstone.

Record Attendance
in Las Vegas
THE KITCHEN & BATH INDUSTRY SHOW (KBIS) marked
its most successful show in its 60-year history, bringing
together a record number of kitchen and bath design
professionals, as reported by CE Pro sister publication KBB
(Kitchen & Bath Business) magazine.
