Tim Painter Acquires
NuTech Group
NUTECH GROUP, a residential and light commercial rep firm
in the Mid-Atlantic region, has been acquired by longtime
employee and VP of sales, Tim Painter. The rep firm will
continue to do business in the Mid-Atlantic territory, serving
the integration community as it has for more than 41 years
with the same commitment to superior service and support.
" This is a big moment in our company's history. For many
years, our team has discussed our succession plan, one that
would allow NuTech to evolve and its partners to thrive. Tim
Painter has now purchased the company and has aggressive
plans to continue its mission, " states Brett Neiderman, now
former owner of the NuTech Group.
For those that do business with NuTech Group now, very
little will change. Existing dealers and integrators will receive
regular updates and are welcome to proactively reach out to
their account rep with questions, according to the company.

a rep firm that's served
the Mid-Atlantic for
40+ years.
As part of the transition, Chad Neiderman has launched a
sister company with a focus on Smart Healthy Living spaces.
" Since I started in this industry, I have always had a passion
for emerging technologies. I look forward to working with
our integrators and vendors to achieve mutual success creating
healthy smart home environments, " he says.
To start, WellTech Design will support the PureTech Alliance
partners in the Middle Atlantic including eero, RePure,
and Broan-NuTone.

NexGen Workforce
Development Toolkit
CEDIA is updating its NextGen: Smart Home Career Toolkit
to expand access to globalized and regional workforce
development tools by including Spanish translations for
toolkit resources and regional presentations explaining the
industry and viable career pathways and other resources.
The smart home industry organization says the latest
additions support the organizations' workforce initiatives
by connecting industry employers with talent pipelines
and increasing awareness around career pathways in the
smart home channel.
In addition to Spanish translations for toolkit resources,
the update includes regional presentations explaining
the industry and viable career pathways, as well as other
resources such as videos, voiceovers and salary survey
results, according to CEDIA.
CEDIA first unveiled the downloadable Next:Gen Smart
Home Career Toolkit in February this year to boost workforce
development initiatives and engage new talent in the
smart home industry. The toolkit includes ready-to-use
resources that smart home integration firms can present
to colleges, trade schools, government agencies, community
centers and more.
Other key features are community outreach resources
such as videos, presentations explaining the industry and
career pathways, fact sheets, a jobseeker brochure, promotional
posters and classroom presentations.
For job seekers, the toolkit includes a guide to career
pathways, an overview of necessary skills, average salary
ranges by title, and a guide to relevant credentials and
certifications.
The latest version includes resources for companies to
recruit personnel candidates, such as videos, voiceovers,
and salary survey results.
