InfoComm 2023 Energy
Still Buzzing in Our Industry
Alesia Hendley, a ubiquitous presence at the Orlando show, reflects on the top-three highlights of
her InfoComm experience, while also sharing other #avtweeps' reactions. By Alesia Hendley
Two months after InfoComm 2023, attendees are still raving about the magic and energy, as well as the partnerships
and networking opportunities that unfolded on the trade-show floor.
IT HAS BEEN ALMOST two months since
InfoComm in Orlando, Fla., and I'm still
on a natural high from the incredible
energy emerging from being with the AV
community. There were a few firsts for me
at #InfoComm23. It was my first InfoComm
as a part of the Sennheiser #BizCom team,
and our booth was jumping.
Each day was filled with excitement, as
we released our new TeamConnect Bars,
which are the first video bars to market
with Dante technology. It was a historic
moment, and I'm glad that I was able to
witness the magic unfold.
I also met a lot of people for the first
time. In my first Commercial Integrator column,
I mentioned BZBGEAR as a resource
to continue learning about all the latest
and greatest products within our industry.
At InfoComm, I got to meet Joel Cruz,
director of marketing at BZBGEAR. It was
great to see someone in person whom I
had been watching on YouTube for years!
There were so many highlights and key

moments at this show that I could go on
and on about everything it offered. But I'm
going to keep this short and tap into three
of my top moments, in descending order.
#3 The Exertis Almo
Opening Reception
Everyone knows that Exertis Almo throws
the best parties, and one of them takes
place on Tuesday night before the
InfoComm show begins. This year, the
value-added distributor outdid themselves
by hosting the opening reception
at Universal CityWalk. Exertis Almo had
three venues, including a large amount
of outdoor space jam packed with food,
drinks and dancing. But the highlight of
the night for me was seeing my peers get
onstage and sing karaoke. This was not
your typical karaoke, though; it was closer
to " American Idol. " Everyone got onstage
and did amazingly well, and there were
background singers who also did dance
routines. It was one of the greatest nights

of karaoke I've ever been to. Next year, I'll
have to grace the stage.
If you haven't been to an Exertis Almo
party or event, I hope that, now, you have
a tremendous case of FOMO!
#2 Interviewing Hall
Technologies About Latest Wares
This year at InfoComm 2023, Hall Technologies
released a new product line
called Hall Vision. These powerful interactive
flatpanels are designed to communicate,
collaborate and educate seamlessly

family of room solutions aimed at the
education, corporate and hospitality
markets. One of the people I interviewed
was Jason Schwartz, CEO of Hall Technologies.
We dove into not only Hall Vision
but also the ecosystem that the company
is building with Nexus Connect. Not
merely focused on bringing an all-in-one
solution to the market, Nexus Connect is
also heavily centered on partnership and
