emphasizes that these things take time and
it's often wise to start small and be consistent.
He says, " Try [to do] a few things every
few months, and, when you look back over
the year, it will be evident you're having a
positive impact. " Thompson declares that
another important aspect is making sure any
company-led charitable initiative resonates
with not only the executives but also the
workforce. " It's got to mean something
to you, " he stresses. Thompson offers an
example, citing a litter-collection project
in and around Midwich's head office as a
starter volunteer project. " This is easy to set
up and colleagues love it! " he enthuses.
Rogina succinctly sums up the initial steps
as follows: Find a cause that will make a difference,
be passionate about its purpose,
support its mission and share it with friends,
family and colleagues.

FSR
When COVID-19 shuttered the meeting location for Boy Scout Troop #22 of Clifton,
N.J., FSR stepped in to donate space. Sandri not only provided a meeting room for
the group of boys, ranging in age from 11 to 16, but also opened up a workshop in
the Woodland Park, N.J., facility. There, the scouts could practice their crafts and
continue on their path to becoming better citizens and responsible adults. The scouts
adhered to safety protocols and continued to meet at FSR for about a year, after
which time it was safe to return to their original location.
Always looking to help fellow New Jerseyans in need, FSR was there for the
community when Superstorm Sandy hit the northeastern U.S. in 2012. A team of
company volunteers packed vehicles with food, paper products, cleaning supplies,
clothing and checks, and they delivered all of it to Highlands, N.J., a small
community hit severely by the storm, which brought 13.5 feet of water.
Spinitar, a Solutionz, Inc., Company
Each year, the La Mirada, Calif.-based integrator holds Spinitar Golf for Hope in
support of City of Hope, a nonprofit cancer-research facility that provides treatments
and cures for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. Spinitar
associates, alongside manufacturing partners, customers, friends and family
members, experience a day of fun and fundraising on the golf course. Some ways
Golf for Hope earns money for City of Hope include via general sponsorships,
raffle and auction opportunities, contests on the course, Jay's Drive for Hope and
cash donations.
Midwich Ltd. (part of Midwich Group plc)
Norfolk, U.K.-based Midwich Ltd. (part of Midwich Group plc) raised over £50,000
for its 14 " Gift of AV " charities in 2022, setting a new annual record for the company.
Midwich has also raised £300,000 for its various chosen charities over the past 10
years. At the beginning of 2022, Midwich announced that every employee could
take paid leave to dedicate their time to local Midwich volunteering projects. As
a result, 21% of employees committed time to a project close to their heart, which
equates to 300 volunteering hours. Projects included working in charity events, litter
picking, tree planting and supporting refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine, along with
190 hours devoted to local conservation projects.

joined a cocktail and dinner reception
that featured a special program, patient
guest appearances, a raffle and a
silent auction, among other programs.
" Planning for the year 2023 is already
underway, " Rogina enthuses.
Thompson, too, expresses excitement
about upcoming plans. " We have just
launched our four major fundraising events
for 2023, " he declares. According to
Spinitar Golf for Hope is held in support

and other life-threatening illnesses.
