K2 Joins Salas O'Brien, Expands
Technology and Acoustics Services
Santa Ana, Calif.-based Salas
O'Brien has announced that K2
has joined the company, uniting
the two firms in the technology
and acoustics space. This
move expands Salas O'Brien's
presence to 60 North American
offices, boasting more
than 1,750 team members and
380 registered professionals,
including more than a dozen
Certified Technology Specialist
(CTS) holders.
The merger increases the
combined team's ability to
provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary
services, including
acoustical design, electronic
safety and securitysystem
design and customized
audiovisual solutions. In
the announcement, K2 notes
its capabilities and portfolio
complement Salas O'Brien's
existing technology and
acoustics team. The latter grew
significantly when Idibri joined
the organization a year ago.
The K2 team will continue to be
managed by its current leaders.
It will adopt the Salas O'Brien
name after a transition period.

is acquiring Neurilink,
a full-service audiovisual design
and integration business
serving the northwest U.S.

Michael Fornander, founder

of the acquisition. Bill Smith,
who served Neurilink as CFO,
will become regional finance
manager at AVI Systems.

business, Neurilink grew to
support customers in Idaho,
Washington, Oregon, Montana
and Utah.
