for Yamaha, you can find
Cunsolo working her side
hustle as a professional musician
on the weekends, serving
as a vocalist, keyboard
player and band director for
different churches.
She also launched a
voice-coaching business
in 2022, equipping others
with the tools they need to
feel confident singing out
loud - and she already has
three clients!

Parker made the move from
Ohio to Denver. Here, she
worked as an AV design
engineer at E2 Optics, a
woman-owned integrated-solutions
provider.
Wanting to be closer
to family, Parker and her
partner eventually moved
to the Chicago area, where
Kirkegaard Associates
had an open position for a
systems designer. Parker
was familiar with Kirkegaard
because she had interned in
summer 2019 in the acoustics
department.
Although few of Parker's
colleagues opt to work in
the office four-to-five days
a week, Parker is a hybrid
worker, working remotely the
majority of the time. Parker
finds working from home
beneficial, allowing her a
greater work/life balance and
flexibility. " Solutions are best
found when people are at
their best, " Parker states.

is working on a challenging
design, she sometimes

She believes that as a hybrid
worker, one often works
independent and isolated
from one's manager. Parker
thus advocates for herself
and is open with her manager
about her career and personal
development goals.
She adds that her time

Hope Roth,

Hope Roth is a perfect example
of a modern-day
renaissance woman. She
helped hone her conversation
skills and build confidence
as a self-advocate.
The majority of her work
at Kirkegaard focuses on
the higher-education and
performing-arts spaces.
Parker states, " Students are
coming back to campus, and
there is a refocus on remote
collaboration/livestreaming
with low latency. "
While Parker helps schools
realize their technology
visions, she also is passionate
about advocating for
people with disabilities in her
designs. Having grown up
with a cousin who was both
deaf and autistic, she strongly
advocates that there needs
to be a " space for everybody. "
When Parker isn't designing,
she focuses on her love
of art, and most recently, on
digital art.

respected AV programmer,
creative artist, mom, wife,
volunteer extraordinaire,
educator and an all-around
beautiful soul.
After Roth graduated
from Trinity College with a
bachelor of science degree
in computer science, she
began her AV career as a
classroom-support specialist
at Tufts University where
she was responsible for the
AV equipment in 100 classrooms
on the Tufts Medford
campus. While working in
Classroom support, Roth
completed her Master's in
history as well. She later
switched from working on
a campus to working at a
variety of AV integration
firms as a programming
specialist and most recently
joined QSC as a professional
services engineer, UCI specialist
in May 2022.
Roth is a fully remote
worker. All her teammates
are located in all different
time zones, so they rely on
Microsoft Teams calls to
coordinate work.
Roth follows a WFH
routine which starts with
walking her daughter to
school and being back to
start her day. " QSC is really
good about scheduling
meetings to accommodate
all the different time zones
employees are in, " says
Roth. She finds that working
for a manufacturer has
allowed her more flexibility
and life balance.
Regardless of her remoteworker
status, Roth is not
concerned about it being a
drag on her career growth.
