Th ese are some of senior living's most pressing needs, and the
drivers behind thoughtful and refreshing solutions being delivered
by the design community-specifi cally, this year's Environments for
Aging Design Champions.
In its fourth year, EFA's annual awards program recognizes the individuals
who are challenging the status quo with new strategies to improve
the lives of residents, families, and staff . Following the online submission
process that was open in the summer, the editors reviewed dozens of nominations
for architects, owners/operators, interior designers, and more.
Th is year, four honorees stood out for their outstanding eff orts to advance
the fi eld of senior living design.
On the following pages, you'll fi nd profi les of our winners as well as interviews
with them that highlight their recent work as well as their goals
going forward. We'll also celebrate them during EFA's annual awards luncheon
taking place at the 2022 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo
