Longleaf Bee Cave

ESTLED JUST WEST of Austin, Texas,
is Bee Cave, a city whose name is derived
from local colonies of Mexican
honeybees. There, Longleaf Bee Cave, a new
assisted living and memory care community,
opened in February.
Inspired by the rustic warmth of Texas
Hill Country as well as the fresh, sophisticated
vibe of the area, the three-story community
houses 61 assisted living units and
27 memory care units.
Longleaf Bee Cave provides a relaxed,
walkable environment that boasts access to
a nearby retail district with boutique shops,
restaurants, and salons. The community sits
directly adjacent to Bee Cave's largest park,
which includes an amphitheater.
Inside the building is a bright and airy
lobby, where a neutral color palette is introduced.
Throughout, that palette is accented
with rich hues of blue, green, and gold to
bring a feeling of sophistication. A few design
elements are even honeycomb-shaped,
creatively alluding to the city's name.
Amenity spaces include a media center/theater,
game room, café, library with
computer workstations, salon, fitness center,
creative arts studio, and outdoor patios
with vistas of the surrounding topography.
The residential units also feature panoramic
views to help promote wellness within the
community.
