advertorial Q&A with Leah Jack VP of Design, Brintons What do you like most about working in the hospitality industry today? I love collaborating with clients. Every project is another opportunity to learn, grow and forge some great friendships along the way. How important is customization? How has it enhanced your products or relationships with clients? Customization is extremely important as it is our primary focus at Brintons. Clients expect a full-service experience from concept to installation and those relationships are enhanced as we work together to create beautiful carpets. What is your design process like? We usually start with the " design narrative " . Whether we are working with a client or developing a new collection - we enjoy a good story! This was our goal with Patria. Highlighting the hometown narrative of our Design team. Drawing from personal memories and location aesthetics to bring authenticity to every patt ern. From development, sampling and fl ooded fl oor plans, our design process brings the story to life. How has technology played a role in product development? Advancements in loom capabilities encourage weaving of huge design repeats and occasionally, no repeat at all. Custom artwork to fi t the space. Couple that with the option to work with up to 32 colors in one design, our HD weave off er diff erentiates us from the competition. Tell us something surprising about your company that people may not know. Our samples are woven on a 27 " wide loom and not a " peg board " machine. Therefore, the sample you receive is the quality of product you can expect at installation. 008 February/March 2022 hospitalitydesign.comhttp://www.hospitalitydesign.com
