a new start
Happy new year! We hope everyone had a
wonderful holiday season and we wish you all the best
for 2025. It's been a challenging fi rst few weeks, but
I am looking forward to many exciting things for our
industry in the year ahead.
If our curated hot list of 76 properties slated to
debut this year is any indication, 2025 is going to be
one for the books. From brand launches and evolutions
to striking independents and luxury retreats, our
roundup is a true testament to the creativity and
quality of work being done in hospitality today. With
all the exciting openings on the horizon, it was hard
to narrow down this list, but we feel each property
off ers something unique and noteworthy. The impressive group truly showcases the
collaborators pushing the design needle.
The new year also means gearing up for HD Expo + Conference, May 6-8th at
Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. We are constantly evolving and adding to the show, and
we are excited about a few new features launching on the fl oor this year. The HD
Park, DesignWell Pavilion, and Social Hub-the home for more than 30 conference
sessions-will off er more elaborate, inspiring designs, the handiwork of EDG, HBA,
and Flick Mars, respectively, and many sponsoring companies.
We are mixing things up with the conference sessions at the HD Park, which will
host a series of keynotes from a handful of industry leaders and visionaries (more to
come on that). We are also creating a full café, thanks to the MGM design team and
designer Alex Woogmaster, and bringing the pages of the magazine to life with the
launch of On Our Radar, a showcase of emerging product designers. Plus, we will
be sharing product launches from the more than 600 exhibitors. And that's just the
beginning, so keep an eye in the February/March issue and at hospitalitydesign.com for
additional updates.
Aſt er a successful relocation last year, we will again kick off the show with our
annual HD Awards celebration on May 6th at the Bellagio, where the winners in more
than 40 categories will be revealed. Submissions in both projects and products are due
February 10th-don't miss your chance to shine a spotlight on your work! To see all the
