eye toward the entry. The double-height lobby is the heart of the building and showcases open views of the training fields, the PT/sports performance gym, and the golf course. The fluidity of space inspires and motivates athletes and caregivers alike, with natural light playing an integral part of the caregiving and healing processes. The building program optimizes the patient's performance by bringing all services from clinic to surgery to recovery and prevention under one roof. The clinic design streamlines the flow of patients throughout their appointments. Evidence-based design strategies were used to maximize flows and to provide an optimal patient and staff experience. Space syntax measured zone visibility and visual integration between spaces to ensure that space supports maximum team collaboration. The orthopedic exam rooms are a variation of BSA's prototypical rooms through a progressive mock-up process that included feedback from over sixty clinicians and research from peer-reviewed journals. In the clinics, daylight is prioritized to the central care team, as light penetrates deeper into the space from a light well up to the level above. The surgical floor tops the building, providing a sheltered place away from the hub to focus on procedures. The surgeon's lounge is a respite with western vistas to the Rockies. Customized artwork throughout further inspires performance and celebrates movement solidifying its role as a center for healthy living and wellness. AU GUST 2021 81
