Winners of the 2022 Nightingale Awards push forward new
solutions to support patient and clinical spaces By Anne DiNardo
Anne DiNardo, executive editor of Healthcare Design,
presents the Best of Competition award to Carlo
Loderer, CEO and cofounder of Zippsafe.
PRODUCTS THAT ADDRESSED a range of patient and staff needs, delivered
high design aesthetics, and incorporated sustainable attributes
and materials were among the standouts in the 2022 Nightingale
Awards program.
Presented by Healthcare Design magazine in partnership with The
Center for Health Design, the annual program recognizes contributions
to the healthcare built environment through product design and
innovation that contributes to healing.
Fourteen jurors reviewed 47 products entered in the program, with
the winners announced during the Healthcare Design Conference +
Expo held in October 2022 in San Antonio. Products are required to
be exhibited at the show and were assessed by jurors prior to the exhibit
hall opening to attendees. Submissions are judged for their contribution
or solution for clinical or operational outcomes; aesthetics
and innovation; built environment solution, durability, functionality,
and quality; industry certifi cations and standards; environmental
sustainability; and list price.
In the end, 19 products received awards in 13 categories, with
Zippsafe's ZippSpace Pro named Best of Competition.
