Stratasys Unveils 3D Direct-to-Garment
Tech, Enabling Personalized,
Sustainable Fashion

In what the company says is as an eff ort to
redefi ne the future of personalized fashion and
sustainability, STRATASYS LTD. has launched
what it describes as a new direct-to-garment
(DTG) solution for its J850 TechStyle printer,
the newest off ering in the Stratasys 3DFashion
direct-to-textile printing technology product line.
According to Stratasys, the new tech is ideal
for customization and personalization in the way
it enables the application of full-color multimaterial
3D print directly onto blank garments
constructed from a wide range of fabric types,
including denim, cotton, polyester and linen. It
also makes it possible for blank apparel decorators
to tailor their 3D prints according to individual
preferences, sizes and styles.

they can mass produce denim clothing, while
maintaining a level of personalization that has
meaning to the wearer, " says Zehavit Reisin,
senior vice-president commercial solutions,

sublimated apparel is forecast to
rise at a 12.40 percent compound
annual growth rate (CAGR) over
the course of the next decade,
according to a recent study from

MARKET INSIGHTS INC. (FMI). ¶ Per
the FMI report, the total valuation
of the market is predicted to
increase from $5.1 billion in 2024
to $16.4 billion in 2034. According
to FMI, there are a number of
reasons for the industry's strong

clothing options in the general
population, especially youth;
surging adoption of dye-sublimated
uniforms and sportswear in commercial
sectors like corporations,
supermarkets; and the hospitality
sector; and booming eCommerce
platforms facilitating access to

apparel in emerging economies.
