A look at how several designers created the one bath in a home that takes center stage with bold choices Pizzazz By Chelsie Butler Transitional Botanical Oasis SOURCES DESIGNER & PHOTOGRAPHER: Erin Kestenbaum CABINET KNOBS: Buster + Punch; FAUCET & SHOWER FIXTURES: Franz Viegener; FLOOR TILE: Walker Zanger; LIGHTING: Hudson Valley Lighting & Visual Comfort; TOILET: Kohler; SINK & VANITY: Signature Hardware; WALL TILE: Fireclay Tile; WALLPAPER: Sandberg Raphael Connecticut-based designer and photographer Erin Kestenbaum renovated this bath in her own home that is primarily used as a powder room for guests. The former space had a tub and shower, so she got rid of the tub and opted to keep the shower since it was already plumbed. Kestenbaum's home features a lot of blue and green, so she chose big pops of green in this space with the tile and biophilic-inspired wallpaper. She loves the look of tile used midway up a wall - especially in a bolder color - and wanted it to feel integrated in the bathroom with the wallpaper. Since there wasn't a need for a full vanity, the designer swapped it out for a console sink, which allows the tile to be more visible. The unlacquered brass vanity legs and plumbing fixtures complement the green shades and will eventually display a natural patina with age and use. The sconces feature a little bit of black - a color Kestenbaum feels should be used in all rooms in a home. 67
