Welcome to KBIS 2025
KBIS continues to outdo itself year after
year! This time around, we're bringing
more exciting programs, exclusive
events, and dynamic activations across
all three days - and that's just the
beginning. While the show floor has
plenty to explore, I highly recommend
carving out time to experience these
standout moments.
Most importantly, however, is our announcement that
after many successful years having a booth presence
in North Hall, we're enthusiastically embracing new
opportunities in South Hall, with its greater proximity
to some of our emerging partners and international
organizations through NKBA's Global Connect
program. This move allows us to tap into the vibrant
energy of NEXTStage while fostering connections with
established brands, our long-term members, as well
as fresh talent that bring an innovative spark to the
industry. One of my South Hall favorites is the Global
Connect Lounge, where international brands connect
with North American design professionals, showrooms,
dealers, distributors, and sales representatives.
Also not to be missed at NEXTStage is the NKBA
Design Council on Tuesday, February 25, when Thom
Filicia, Michel Smith Boyd, Celerie Kemble, and Caleb
Anderson offer everything from insights from their
early careers to their latest projects. Their dynamic
discussion will provide valuable lessons on overcoming
challenges, embracing creativity, and building a lasting
design legacy.
Additionally, for each day of KBIS, three daily hosts will
guide the NEXTStage audience through an energetic
experience of more than 20 programs focused on
design trends and insights combining research, data,
and expert opinions to forecast the coming year. Day 1
features John McClain, who empowers fellow designers
through his Design Success Academy; former House
Beautiful Editor-in-Chief Sophie Donelson takes over as
Day 2 host; while Day 3 showcases Breegan Jane, who
is currently at the helm of HGTV's " Dream Home. "
You'll also be able to find the next big thing at
the Discovery District in South Hall, the epicenter
of innovation and inspiration at KBIS 2025. As
the premier destination for cutting-edge product
showcases and groundbreaking design solutions,
Discovery District is where the future of the kitchen
and bath industry comes to life. The NKBA Booth,
SL3125, is joining in on the fun, too, with a photo
studio, generously sponsored by Ferguson,
where you can get free headshots by professional
photographers. This year, it's open all three days,
Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm, and
walk-ups are welcome; no pre-registration is required.
NKBA's State of the Industry follows my State of the
Association, the annual meeting of our membership, on
Wednesday, February 26 at 8:30am, and I am thrilled
to be hosting a stellar cast of industry hotshots for it,
including Interior Design Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen
in conversation with powerhouse multihyphenate
designer Lauren Rottet. This will be followed by a
panel of esteemed designers who are embracing
opportunities and overcoming challenges in today's
dynamic economic environment. Meanwhile, the Best
of KBIS Awards on Wednesday, February 26 at 4pm on
NEXTStage, is where brands who push the boundaries
of innovation and design are awarded across seven
categories.
Always a big draw - so grab your ticket now - The
BASH at the XS Nightclub on Wednesday, February
26 at 8:30pm gives you a chance to connect with
old and new friends, have fun, and dance the night
away. Then, the International Builders' Show Closing
Concert on Thursday, February 27 at 5:00pm is the
perfect way to celebrate the ending of a perfect show.
This year, country music singer Chris Janson takes
the stage to close out another successful Design &
Construction Week.
And if that's not enough to keep you busy, remember
you still have nearly 700 KBIS exhibitors to check out,
and there's also more than 75 Voices from the Industry
CEU sessions across six different business tracks.
