The Shelby Williams Tufgrain aluminum seating line steadily
grew in popularity during the pandemic. The wood grain
finish is highly resistant to repeated cleanings with harsh
chemicals, lightweight and easy to move, and hits a great pricepoint. The company also added fully upholstered
styles ideally suited for hotel and senior living dining rooms, guestrooms, and lounge applications. The initial
feedback from BDNY was terrific and several new styles will launch this year.
While the pandemic has undoubtedly created an industry-wide problem for supply chains and shipping-with
raw material difficult to get and prices challenging project budgets-Shelby Williams has a global supply chain
and production capacity which has been extremely helpful over the past two years. It has also boosted inventory
levels of its top-selling products, which help with lead-time consistency while reducing the risk of recent
shipping challenges.
