A MESSAGE FROM THE NEWH, INC. PRESIDENT
I
am looking forward to the longer days with more sunshine that come with the arrival of spring. Our industry
needs to take a health check and be extremely thankful as we continue to see the hospitality world rebound to
unseen levels. Don't miss our Brand Partners, in the BrandED Program, share positive information echoing the

growth that continues to be in the forecast. The common statement seems to be not enough hours in the day to get
all things accomplished as the industry continues to flourish. These are truly good problems we face!
Thank you to each of you, our members, sponsors, and supporters, for your continued support of NEWH. Our
membership continues to grow: We are at 6,300+ as we sprint into this year. NEWH's mission is scholarship and
education and as we start 2023, we are just $27,000 shy of $8 million! This year we will surpass that
mark as NEWH continues to support the future leaders of our industry. We will also celebrate the
Los Angeles Founding Chapter as they reach over $1 million awarded in their chapter alone! NEWH
empowers members with scholarships, education, and mentorship-and we expose our student
members, the future of our industry, to the power of networking. Thank you for your efforts in
reaching beyond our goals to award and empower over the last 39 years.
NEWH Regional Tradeshows remain the best value for the industry from both sides of the aisle-
from booths selling out within an hour, to focused time for design teams to see new and innovative
products. Please check the calendar at newh.org for a Regional Tradeshow coming to your area

more information.
The NEWH BrandED events have brought NEWH Brand Partners to our chapters with great
success in North America. This year we are expanding BrandED events to UK and EU chapters. Designers,
purchasers, owners, and developers can attend BrandED events and learn from the hotel brands' design and
development teams about their forecasts and strategies during these informative presentations. These events are
hosted by chapters with the audience limited to the A&D sector along with annual and local sponsors. If your chapter
is interested hosting please let us know. If, as a vendor, you are interested in BrandED sponsorship opportunities,

We look forward to connecting at our next International Board of Directors meeting live in Las Vegas on May 1st in
conjunction with HD Expo + Conference. Thank you to Hospitality Design/Emerald for their continued partnership
in allowing NEWH to be able to celebrate and award scholarships, as well as recognition awards, at the Hospitality
Design and Boutique Design shows, which continue to bring together and lead the hospitality community. Join us
at the NEWH Women in Design Breakfast on Tuesday morning, May 2nd, as we celebrate the Harvey Nudelman /
Fabricut and HDAC scholarship recipients, along with the announcement of the 2023 NEWH ICON of Industry.
