Eimer Design brings a Miami vibe to Atlanta

isitors to Halidom Eatery, the breezy food hall anchoring the mixed-use
development of the same name in southeast Atlanta, wander among
Bar La Rose and 11 disparate local chef-driven concepts, poring over
menus from the likes of Luze Mexicano Cocina, Mango Indian Grill, and Just
Dogs ATL.
To orchestrate this culinary journey, IST Management tapped Philadelphiabased
Eimer Design to conjure a hospitality atmosphere redolent of an upscale
hotel or restaurant but using practical materials that can withstand a flurry of
daily, high-volume interactions.
" We took inspiration from Miami's Art Deco forms and vivid colors and
layered in components of the city's inherent relaxed lifestyle, " says senior
designer Louis Iannone. " This design language became the common thread
that unified program elements throughout, while allowing each vendor an
opportunity to express its own brand identity with accessories, graphics, and
signage. "
Transporting diners to Miami are the large-scale, custom-tinted vinyl
wallcoverings dressing the perimeter. They are paired with jolts of soft pink
paint and swaths of warm white terrazzo flooring that serve as a circulation
path.
Given durability was as important as visual impact, a " combination of
quartz, dimensional wood tambour, and a series of dynamic ceramic tiles were
dispersed strategically to create variation from stall to stall, " adds Iannone.
