For the feature wall behind the front desk at the Embassy Suites
Newark Airport, Q&A Hospitality Services, Inc. sought an eyecatching
piece to connect the property with nearby Newark
Liberty International Airport. Inspired by lenticular art seen
at BDNY, they commissioned Artline Group to create custom
artwork with two shifting scenes that change with the viewer's
perspective. " Our client needed something that would flow with the curved back wall and incorporate artistic
flair, so I went into creative mode, " said Star Foos, Artline Group's art director.
The artwork captures the energy of an airplane taking off from EWR on one side and features photographic
homages to destinations like Prague, Paris, and New York on the other. Set against an abstract blend of
colors and textures, it brings a modern touch. The installation helps Embassy Suites Newark Airport stand
out, celebrating its role in welcoming travelers to a busy metropolitan hub.
Designed with a clean, organic purity, the Sereno
collection from Bernhardt Hospitality off ers a fresh
perspective on modern rustic design. Profiles are
simplistic and unadorned with softened edges,
highlighting the luminous beauty of silver travertine and textural metal. Open frames and intersecting planes
create lightness, balance and movement with a sophisticated aesthetic. Woven textiles, tactile wood grain
and a tonal palette add a reflective sentiment. The collection has the quiet serenity of warm minimalism and
an inviting beauty that blends authenticity with the inherent calm of restrained design, perfect for modern
guestrooms and public spaces. Part of a family-owned heritage with more than 135 years of business and
history, Bernhardt Hospitality crafts fully custom and inline furnishings for the lodging, senior living, multifamily,
commercial and country club markets.
In 2024, Brintons expanded its Self-Expression series, featuring
collections created by individual designers to off er a cohesive and
personalized selection of patterns. The Winter 2024 collection,
Modern Drift, launched in February under senior designer Terrien
Hale, blends rustic charm with the elegance of driftwood. In Spring,
the Flourish collection debuted at HD Expo, showcasing Brintons
senior designer Sam Hoeff er's exploration of personal growth through
six nature-inspired designs. The Summer collection, Rihla Road,
created by senior designer Nicole Bennett, drew inspiration from Moroccan tapestries, capturing the essence
of ancient cities and landscapes. Upcoming Fall and Winter collections will feature additional Brintons
designers, with the Fall release scheduled for BDNY 2024.
Brintons also celebrated winning the Flooring category at the 20th HD Awards for Wanderwell, designed
by senior designer Katie Nehrbauer. Supporting NEWH aligns with Brintons' commitment to education,
mentorship, and fostering young talent in the hospitality industry.
