CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS
Cincinnati Region
The region was the second stop on the Stacy Garcia Trend Tour last September. After meeting with Stacy Garcia in Nashville during the 2024 NEWH Leadership Conference,
steering chair Kyler Burroughs was tapped to help bring Stacy's idea to fruition. After many months of planning, the committee secured a venue at the University of Cincinnati
College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning and combined efforts with its planned student engagement event. With a record 116 attendees, it was the region's largest-ever
event, offering trend forecasting to students, alumni, and design professionals; headshot opportunity for students; and an energizing celebration with Stacy Garcia. In addition
to the national sponsors for the trend tour, Cincinnati brought in 11 city sponsors to support the event: Brintons USA, Tarkett Hospitality, Koroseal, Forms + Surfaces, Kimball
Hospitality, PMBA Architects, Interface Carpets, Dickinson Contract-Shaw Hospitality, Standard Textile, and Artline Group. All remaining proceeds were directed to the region's
scholarship fund.
In December, the region hosted its Holiday Soirée at the Clair, a recently renovated voco property by IHG, in the Pennyflower, a new restaurant concept that blends Cincinnati
heritage with a sophisticated Art Deco themed design. The celebration commenced with a networking social followed by award announcements and guided tours. The chapter
recognized two TopID winners, Pivot Studio and Luminaut as well as awarded two scholarships: a $5,000 scholarship to Kevin Schenkel, student at the University of Cincinnati
class of 2026, and a $2,500 scholarship to Jedidiah Chia, student at the University of Cincinnati, class of 2028. Kudos to designer Kelly Gaddes for her work on this new boutique
property owned by Rolling Hills Hospitality, and a heartfelt thank you to founder Bimal Patel, the steering committee's executive advisor, for graciously allowing us to feature the
newly branded hotel; and the vent sponsors: Tarkett Hospitality, Ulster Carpets, Maharam, Louisville Tile, Fabricut Contract, DesignTex, and Allermuir.

Celebrated at an event at Crooked Oak Tavern Conway, South Carolina, J. Banks Design has been named the
region's TopID Award winner for 2025, and Maria Victoria Rodriguez of Horry-Georgetown Technical School was
its 2024 scholarship winner. Additionally, it is excited to welcome new 2025 sponsors: JBS Carpet Representatives,
Gabbiano Seating, and Contract Spec Associates.
