especially when it comes to comfort.
And at this year's Outdoor Retailer
Show, attendees will be able to get
an up-close look at the science
behind some of those innovations
in the Westfield Outdoors®
ComforTech Zone.
New this year to the Westfield
Outdoors®
booth #16003, Senior VP
of Product Design, Development, and
Marketing, Darin Webb said the idea
behind the ComforTech Zone was to
provide a way for the company to
showcase specific innovations in a
slightly different way than normal.
" We've been doing a lot of great
work and we wanted to find a new,
interesting way to show off what
we've been up to, " Webb said. " We
came up with the idea to showcase
our work in the ComforTech
Zone, which will feature hands-on
experiences and even have live, realtime
demonstrations. "
One of those real-time demonstrations
will be showing off the heat mapping
technology Westfield Outdoors®
uses to create more breathable,
comfortable chairs. Heat mapping is
used by the engineering and product
design teams at Westfield Outdoors®
as a way to pinpoint where the " hot
spots " are on an item like a chair.
Then, by using that data, the design
team will know where to add more
breathable material to make the chair
cooler and more comfortable.

ComforTech Zone is the company's
new FlowMotion technology, which
features a one-of-a-kind spring
that provides a gentler rocking/
bouncing motion. Through testing,

this natural type of motion delivers
a significantly more comfortable
and relaxing sitting experience than
similar products on the market.
