Candy Me Up founder Nema
Causey's family business was
tanking during the pandemic. She
turned to TikTok using her shop as
a stage, with goofy videos of boxing
up customer orders. She now has
1 million followers and fills 2,000
orders on a day when she'd normally
fill just two. " She took a risk, "
Stephens said. " Your store is where
you draw people into emotional
experiences. " Instead of thinking
about selling outdoor gear, he said,
think about selling fun, adventure,
community, belonging, bucket list
experiences, and memories.

E-bikes are the future of green transportation-and also a total
blast. Here are highlights from two specialty brands at the Show.
EVERYDAY CARRY
Case Knives taps new
consumers with launch of
versatile product category.
With its 130-year, made-inthe-USA

the Show. Case will debut
two modern knives, the
Marilla and Kinzua, built for

first time.

The Marilla and the Kinzua
incorporate high-quality
S35VN stainless steel blades
and anodized handles. Each
knife is engineered with a
lightweight aluminum handle
and one-handed flipper
opening for quick and reliable
deployment. Available with
black, red, and blue handles,
the Marilla is $165; the Kinzua

The rise in popularity of electric bikes-for their energy efficiency,
utility, and speed-is reflected in the presence of a variety of
e-bike and scooter brands exhibiting at the Summer Show. Here's
a sampling.
Bakcou (34015-UL) is debuting its updated Mule fat-tire e-bike,
designed for hunting enthusiasts. This Class 3 bike is made with
a 750- to 1,000-watt Bafang mid-drive motor and torque sensor,
has a range of more than 40 miles, and is capable of speeds up
to 35 mph. The brand is also displaying its dual-suspension Storm
G2, which has a top speed of 20 mph, making it a Class 1 e-bike.
Bakcou calls the powerful Storm, with its 1,008-watt-hours battery,
" the diesel engine of electric bikes. " Bakcou also offers an
electric cruiser, the Mini Badger, which retails for $1,000. Stop by
the booth to get $300 off any purchase made on the show floor,
and Bakcou will throw in a free set of panniers.
GlareWheel (35037-UL) manufactures many forms of electric
transportation, including foldable and fat-tire e-bikes, e-scooters,
e-hoverboards, even e-mopeds ranging in price from $600
to $1,700. The brand focuses on researching and developing new
e-power mobility personal transportation, and its light and durable
bikes are designed for shorter distances. GlareWheel's electric
scooters-including foldables and those made for off-road-cost
