Awards uncovers

very team needs one. Th at clutch
performer. Th e ultimate professional
that isn't afraid to put the
outcome of the game on their
back. Th is individual also has the leadership attributes
to elevate everyone around them. Th is
person is, of course, the Most Valuable Player.
But an MVP need not be limited to just the
world of sports. For that reason, Security Sales
& Integration created the Most Valuable Product
Awards program.
Now in its seventh year, the purpose of the
program is to illuminate how important products
and technologies are to the success of security
integration companies. While it is important
to have talented, experienced technicians,
it is all for naught if the equipment they are
installing or utilizing is unreliable, outdated
and lacking in features.
Th is year's 32 entrants represent the best
the security industry has to off er across eight
diff erent specialties. Of that group, eight winners
were selected in the following categories:
Access Control, Business Operations, Fire/Life
Safety, Home Controls, Intrusion Detection,
Miscellaneous Security Products, Security

Apps and Video Surveillance.
" SSI's Most Valuable Products Awards has
solidifi ed its standing as not only one of the
most credible programs of its kind for the electronic
security industry but also the greatest
value for entrants, " says SSI Editor-in-Chief/
Associate Publisher Scott Goldfi ne. " It can
be diffi cult for security integrators to keep
up with the thousands of products that are
introduced throughout the year. SSI's MVP
Awards provides integrators the valuable service
of distinguishing particularly noteworthy
new products, and salutes the manufacturers
responsible for them. "
To be considered, products had to have been
released in the past 18 months or set to be available
later in 2021. Each product was judged by a
panel of seasoned integrators and industry consultants
on innovation, functionality, competitive
advantages, benefi ts to the installer or monitoring
provider, and benefi ts to the end user.
