Brinks Home Inks Deal With Texas-Based
True Protection
▶ DALLAS - Brinks Home has signed a new agreement with True
Protection that extends their partnership for another six years.
The collaboration is expected to drive growth for both companies
and allows True Protection to expand its Texas footprint, according
to an announcement.
The San Antonio-based dealership was founded in 2011 by Matthew
True, president and CEO, and John Jarvis, vice president of
operations.

SD card, while the 4MP includes a 32GB
SD card. Each model is available in black
and white in either bullet or turret style,
for a total of eight SKUs. All models are
capable of 4K video recording.
The Performance Fixed Series, which
includes 4MP and 8MP models with
fixed focal length lenses, upgrades to
True WDR and Sony Starvis chip sets to
maximize low-light and nighttime performance.
Both models offer three streams,
basic motion detection, advanced motion
detection and human detection to improve
event capture.
The Performance VF Series adds a 4MP
model with motorized varifocal capability
for zooming, in addition to True WDR
and low-light performance with the Sony
Starvis chip set.
VOXX, Sharp to Buy Onkyo Home
Entertainment Brands
▶ HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - VOXX Int'l, a manufacturer and distributor
of automotive and consumer technologies for the global markets,
has signed a letter of intent to acquire the home A/V business of
Onkyo Home Entertainment, with Sharp acting as its partner in
the business venture.
As it stands, VOXX and Sharp would acquire the Integra, Pioneer,
Pioneer Elite and Onkyo USA brands from parent company
Onkyo Home Entertainment. At press time, all companies were
said to have a strong working relationship and moving toward
reaching a definitive agreement by May 20. If an agreement is
reached, it will be presented to Onkyo shareholders at its Ordinary
General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled on June 25.
This development follows on the heels of a deal involving
the companies in 2020 that helped establish a good working
relationship between the parties. At that time, VOXX, through
its distribution company and subsidiary 11 Trading Co., became
the exclusive distributor in the Americas of the Onkyo, Pioneer,
Pioneer Elite and Integra brands. This, in turn, built upon and
expanded the alliance between the companies when Onkyo became
the distributor of Klipsch premium audio sound solutions
in Japan in 2019.
