Allegion Set to Acquire Stanley
Access Technologies for $900M
▶ DUBLIN - Allegion, a leading global
security products and solutions provider,
announces it has signed a definitive
agreement to acquire Stanley Access
Technologies and assets related to the
automatic entrance solutions business
from Stanley Black & Decker for $900
million in cash.
In December, Stanley Black & Decker
sold its Stanley Security integration
business to Securitas AB for $3.2 billion
in cash.
Access Technologies is a leading manufacturer,
installer and service provider
of automatic doors in North America,
primarily in the United States and Canada.
Its customer base centers on nonresidential
settings, including retail, healthcare,
education, commercial offices, hospitality
and government. Access Technologies
generated approximately $340 million in
net sales in 2021.
As a result of this acquisition, Allegion
will significantly expand its breadth of access,
egress and access control solutions.

Sciens Grows Stable With
Electronic Security Solutions
▶ SAN FRANCISCO - Sciens Building
Solutions announced in April it has added
Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Electronic
Security Solutions (ESS) to its growing
portfolio of companies.
The acquisition is said to help Sciens
establish its presence in the Pennsylvania
market, while providing ESS and its
customers with even deeper resources
and expertise, as well as the ability to
leverage Sciens' growing presence across
North America.

approximately 12.5x including run-rate
synergies, according to the company.

Board Steering Committee
▶ SILVER SPRING, Md. - The Security
Industry Association (SIA) announces
the first members of its Utilities Advisory
Board Steering Committee.
SIA says it created the Utilities Advisory
Board to offer insight and education to
security practitioners, members of the
security industry and other stakeholders
about emerging security trends,
regulatory compliance issues, and
recommended practices for protecting
utility infrastructure.
Comprising the steering committee
