Motorola Adds Cloud-Based Video
Analytics Provider Calipsa
▶ CHICAGO - Motorola Solutions announced
in April it had acquired Calipsa,
a technology provider of Cloud-native
advanced video analytics based in London.
Terms of the transaction were not
disclosed.
Calipsa's scalable platform enables businesses
to optimize security with AI-powered
analytics that verify alarms, enable
content-based searches, detect tampering
and assess the health of cameras in
real-time. The solution is relied upon by
enterprise and security monitoring customers
around the world, according to
the company.

Cameras & More
▶ ST. PAUL, Minn. - Alula has released its new video platform
featuring new camera models, AI-based object detection,
enhancements to video clip navigation and viewing in the Alula
Smart Security app, and advanced video capabilities via the new
Slimline Touchpad PRO.
The new products and capabilities strengthen the role that
video plays as a core component of professional security, and
reinforce Alula's position as a full-service solutions provider,
according to the company.
Three new cameras have been added to Alula's video portfolio.
The first is a modern, industrial-designed outdoor bullet -
well-suited for viewing porches, alleyways, backyards and more.
The second is a smart doorbell camera said to have robust and
simplified aesthetics, improved motion detection algorithms and
active motion highlighting.
Lastly, the Indoor 360 offers responsive pan-tilt operation
for broad viewing coverage. Alula says all three cameras deliver
high-definition viewing, motion detection, extended WiFi range
and nightvision.
Alula's video platform can be implemented in multiple ways,
including as part of a more comprehensive smart security system
when used in tandem with the Connect+ control panel; paired
with the BAT-Connect alarm panel communicator; on new system
installations; or on legacy panels that may need a feature refresh.

Mirasys VMS Now Supports Quanergy
Systems' 3D LiDAR
▶ ESPOO, Finland - Mirasys, a developer of open-platform video
management software (VMS), has announced integration with
Quanergy Systems' 3D LiDAR sensors.
Mirasys says the integration capabilities with the Quanergy
Systems' OPA-based, solid-state LiDAR sensors and 3D
solutions provide users improved analytics and insights for
security applications in the government, retail and gaming
industries.
