Commercial App for Dealers

Allegion ADA-Compliant LCN 6400
Automates Interior Openings
▶ CARMEL, Ind. - Allegion U.S. announces the launch of the
ADA-compliant LCN 6400 Compact Series low-energy automatic
operator for touchless access and accessible operation on interior
doors.
Designed for use in a variety of institutional and commercial facilities,
it is billed as the only auto operator on the market that can easily
convert existing LCN 4040XP mechanical door closers to touchless
solutions, for automated opening and closing when combined
with an actuator. The simplicity of the solution is said to reduce the
cost, labor and complexity required to automate an opening.
As facilities work to safely reopen, risk mitigation is also top of
mind. High-touch surfaces are a common area of focus, due to
concerns about the contact transmission of pathogens. Pairing
automatic operators with touchless actuators is a common way
to address this challenge and enable hands-free operation of an
opening. However, such solutions are typically complex and expensive.
Allegion says the Compact automatic operator is designed to
make touchless operation simple and attainable for more facilities.
" Campuses and schools are looking to reopen for in-person
classes this fall, employees are returning to office and healthcare
facilities are continuing to invest in healthy environments. Having
a touchless solution has become an important consideration for
enabling a safe reopening, " says Mike Wagnes, vice president and

mobile control of security systems and/
or their integrated access control systems,
supporting multitier user/manager levels.
These include administrative control of
users and groups, such as managers and
employees, for example, and privileges on
one or across multiple areas, as applicable.
The user experience is said to include
an easy graphical icon-based screen and/
or traditional virtual 3D keypad (portrait),
including dealer keypad programming
mode, scheduling, zone description
templates and address book utility. The
app is also described as handy for all are
distinct access and alarm logs, zone open
lists, users' codes and access cards.
Ring Launches Access Controller Pro 2
for Improved Gate Control
▶ SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Ring announces the launch of Ring
Access Controller Pro 2, a second-generation device intended to
make it easier than ever for users to remotely grant gate access
to visitors.
Supporting both cellular and Ethernet connectivity in one single
device, Ring Access Controller Pro 2 enables customers to unlock
their electronically controlled gate while offering secure, in-gate
delivery services with Key by Amazon.
The new device features a smaller form factor for a sleeker look
and easier installation, well-suited for gated single-family homes
or small, multiunit apartment buildings. Professional installation
is required.
Ring Access Controller Pro 2 is said to enhance existing, compatible
electrical access gates and enables customers to remotely operate
entryways directly from their Ring app, as well as receive secure,
in-gate, eligible Amazon package deliveries via Key by Amazon.
Customers can also connect Ring Access Controller Pro 2 to
Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cams to see, hear and speak
with visitors before letting them in. If users don't have a Ring video
doorbell or camera set up with Ring Access Controller Pro 2,
they can still use it with Key by Amazon. Customers can control
their delivery preferences via the Key by Amazon app.
The new controller is now available in the United States on
Ring.com and Amazon.com.
