I've learned that it's fine to have
emotion in decisions, because
having emotion means that
there's a connection to that
decision. It's been one of the most
challenging yet exciting decisions
I've ever made. Every day there's
an issue, but every day there's an
opportunity, " he smiles. " The club
is the heartbeat of the community. "

Mars, Women Are from Venus, Paul believes in an approach
that emphasises human similarity. " Evolutionary
psychologists have shown that we all have the same basic
emotional needs, but we fall into gender norms that are
dangerous - all men do this, all women do that. It's not
helpful; it pits us against each other. "
AN AMERICAN ROOTED IN LONDON
For the past eight years, Paul has called London home. He,
Jill, and their sons Kingston, 14, and Liam, 10, have
embraced British life, even adopting some iconic elements
of the culture. In fact, Paul has become so committed to his
new home that he co-owns a south London football club,
Sutton United FC. " Investing in Sutton United was an

Despite his busy career, he maintains a commitment to
health and wellness. After a brief flirtation with Britain's pub
culture, Paul now abstains from alcohol and mostly follows
a plant-based diet.
" Every time I go to Jamaica, everything changes. I'm like,
'Can I be a vegan that eats oxtail?' " he jokes. Still, he sticks to
his core beliefs when it comes to wellness, one of which is
surrounding himself with the right people. " I'm conscious
and cautious about who I spend time with. I'm quick to fire
friends where they break trust. I don't give more than one
chance, " he says. " I'm not tolerant to BS. That could be
people, situations, or projects. I think that comes with age
and experience. "
For Paul, a perfect evening is simple: " Gratitude, two
glasses of wine, and no judgment. It's about staying close to
the people who bring out the best in you. "
