COVID to Limit Global Aviation Fleet
Growth Over the Next 10 Years
By 2031, the global aviation fleet will be smaller than
once projected because of the impact of COVID-19,
and a decade of smaller fleets will mean constrained
growth and consolidation, according to Oliver
Wyman's Global Fleet & Maintenance, Repair, and
Overhaul (MRO) Forecast 2021-2031. Airlines will
not return to 2019 levels of operation until at least
2022, with recovery in parts of the aerospace market
lagging by a year or two. For consumers, the slow
recovery may mean fewer direct and less frequent
routes - at least until the pandemic is under control
and normal economic activity returns. " COVID has
created a long list of challenges never seen before in
modern commercial aviation, " said Tom Cooper, an
Oliver Wyman vice president and one of the authors
of the report. " It will take the next few years for the
fleet to adjust and return to stable growth, but even
after 10 years, the industry will never fully regain all
that it has lost from the pandemic. Right now, with
many airlines still burning through millions of dollars
each day, the focus must be cash flow management. "

Duncan Aviation Completes
Refurbishment of Global Express XRS
Duncan Aviation shares its craftsmanship on this one-of-a-kind,
recently completed Global Express XRS. The moment you walk into the
newly refurbished aircraft, you are taken aback by the incredible use of
colors and materials. The owner wanted the aircraft to have texture and to
feature bold patterns and non-conventional colors. You are first greeted by
custom, dark, rich brown wood flooring
in the entryway. The carpet features
half leather and half wool, which is a
rare and luxurious combination. The
seat design is reminiscent of seats
in an Aston Martin supercar, with details stitched throughout in brown
leather. The headrest also has similar details, but in black leather. The aircraft's galley was given a face lift as well with an eccentric metal design,
beautiful black and white Quartz countertop and a faucet that looks
like a beer tap. In the lavatory, the sidewalls have bright striping in blue,
white, and black, and the countertops feature a blue and white marble. In
addition to the interior completion, the aircraft received a custom paint
scheme that incorporated the owner's brand in a bold yet distinct way, a
120-month inspection, a Collins Aerospace Venue Cabin Management
System upgrade, and new LED lighting.

Airflow to Develop Full-Scale
Piloted Technology Demonstrator
Airflow, an aerial logistics company building nextgeneration aircraft and services, announces the
development of one of the first full-scale piloted technology demonstrators of an eSTOL aircraft. For the
last year, Airflow has been utilizing a sub-scale model
for test flights that have helped develop eSTOL flight
control technology. The next phase will transform a
Cessna 210 into an eSTOL with Distributed Electric
Propulsion (DEP). DEP enables operations into and
out of very short runways by providing more control
at slower airspeeds. Airflow will validate and refine
the design parameters used to build the production
eSTOL aircraft. " Selecting the Cessna 210 saves us
the effort to design and build the pieces that already
work, such as the cockpit, fuselage, landing gear, etc.
We'll concentrate on changing the rest to make it
an eSTOL aircraft, " stated Peter Kalogiannis, cofounder and CTO. This aircraft represents the first
step towards bringing to market aircraft designed
for sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

Star locations. With the new approval, all four locations are now FAA approved as Class 4, which certifies them to service larger sheet metal airframes, as
well as most major corporate airframes and models.
Additionally, all locations are implementing second
shifts to maintain consistent turn times with the
increased capabilities.
