In his role as manager - ProOwnership Maintenance, Textron
Aviation, Caleb Gibson leads a team of maintenance specialists, all
serving in a director of maintenance-like capacity for Beechcraft
King Air and Cessna Citation aircraft operators who, while owning
and operating the aircraft themselves, could use a little extra
help managing the maintenance on their aircraft.
" This is a small program with the intent of supporting those
folks who may be new to entering service with operation of a
King Air or of a Citation and are willing to use our factory-owned
service network for their scheduled inspection events. And as
such, we serve as a DOM in your pocket, " he described.
Gibson has attained the FlightSafety Master Technician on the
Beachcraft King Air 300 series and the Cessna Citation 525 series.

Favorite thing about aviation: The love of troubleshooting an item that's difficult, and
finally finding it (the trouble) and getting that airplane ready to fly and watching it take off.
Chris Hurtado is passing down knowledge. He works two jobs in
aviation maintenance, performing line maintenance with UPS,
but at FEAM he was brought in to help train the staff.
" They brought me in because of a crew being a little bit junior
and getting a lot of junior guys. So they have me teaching them
the airplanes and how to use the MELs, " he said.
He said enjoys passing on some of the knowledge that the older
experienced guys taught him when he first joined the field.
Outside of teaching the new generation, Hurtado said it's the
sense of community that aviation has that he loves being a part of.
