Jordan Craig Moore

Favorite thing about aviation: The people.
Jordan Moore didn't know what he wanted to do with his career.
He was bouncing around from opportunity to opportunity, before
deciding to take his hobby, travel, and see if he could spin that
into something. It led him to the airport, working with United in
their tech ops as a utility technician. The job gave him exposure
to aircraft and the mechanics, and he soon became fascinated.
He would ultimately decide to pursue the mechanic path.
Moore is now part of United's paid apprenticeship program
Calibrate, working with the mechanics and gaining OJT hours.
" I'm learning on the job on their planes with their equipment
and I basically do everything that they do, " he said. " Today, for
example, I got to do an engine change on an Airbus. "
As an up-and-coming mechanic himself, Moore wishes more
people would realize the opportunities the industry has to offer.

Josh Rawlins

Favorite thing about aviation: How exciting it is for everyone.
Josh Rawlins is not only personally helping the next generation
become AMTs, he's leading initiatives to create new schools and
opportunities. Rawlins is the chief operating officer and a board
member at Epic Flight Academy. In February 2022 he also became
the director of the academy's Aircraft Mechanic Program.
Partnering with FEAM Aero, Epic in April 2023 broke ground for
a new aircraft mechanic school at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky
International Airport. Partnering with Polk State College in
Florida, Rawlins helped draft an articulation agreement that
allows Epic's mechanic graduates to receive 30 credits,
If there's one lesson Rawlins could teach all students, he said
it would be the importance of integrity. " We all make mistakes.
It's what you do after that sets you apart and keeps people safe. "
