Oscar Pablo Martinez, 31, Airframe/Engine Technical Advisor, Jet Support Services, Inc., Mission, Texas

scar Pablo Martinez's professional aviation career began as an
engineering intern at Grupo SAFRAN in their overhaul facility
for CFM56 engines in Mexico. Shortly after his internship with
Safran, he got his first full-time job as an operations engineer
with Aerolíneas Ejecutivas S.A. de C.V. "With the support of the
Aerolíneas team, I quickly grew into the position of maintenance
manager where I was responsible for a fleet of 29 aircraft, some
which operated for more than 700 hours per year," said Martinez.
During his time as maintenance manager, Martinez said he set a
standard of work that prioritized safety and quality while constantly
exceeding the expectations of customers.
In 2016, Martinez took eight months off from the aviation industry to attend to a family matter. "Being away from aviation during
that short period of time made me realize that aviation is where I
belonged," Martinez said. He returned as a director of maintenance
for Kimberly Clark (TAMSA) where he helped operate a CL605
and an LR60.
"The experience I gathered with my prior employers positioned
me to become JSSI's technical advisor/airframe product line specialist covering Mexico, Central America, Venezuela and Colombia,"
Martinez said.
Martinez received his Aeronautics Engineering degree from
the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City. Currently,

he is applying to attend Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University to achieve his MBA
in Aviation. Martinez has also completed
multiple advanced trainings such as High
Precision Manufacturing; Jeppesen Aircraft
Performance Training at Jeppesen Academy
in Denver, CO; Flight Safety International,
Learjet 40/45 Series Maintenance Update
in Wichita, KS; Diamond Aircraft, Series
62, 42 and 40 Maintenance Type Training in Wiener Neustadt,
Austria; and Bombardier Aerospace Learjet 60/60XR Maintenance
Recurrent Training at the Bombardier Aerospace Training Center.
Martinez is a member of the Cámara Nacional de Aerotransporte
(CANAERO) Association. He is also involved in a number of aviation events. "I attend all the regional aviation events, AeroExpo
Mexico, MRO Latin America, CIAM, Amigos de la Aviación, FAIR
Colombia, Panama AeroExpo ..." Martinez stated.
The AMT 40 Under 40 Award is not the first industry award
Martinez has received. "I was selected as the employee of the quarter
while working for the oldest standing (50 years) aviation company
in Latin America," Martinez noted.
In the future, Martinez would like to use his experience and
knowledge to become a Sales Director of an aviation company.
