Boeing Business Jet Full Interior
Refurbishment Project
VIP Completions has announced a new project - the
comprehensive interior refurbishment of a Boeing
Business Jet (BBJ). The BBJ is a high-performance
derivative of the Boeing 737, capable of flying more
than 6,000 nautical miles non-stop. First introduced
in 1998, there are approximately 140 BBJs in service
worldwide today.
" This is a big project, " says Ben Shirazi, President,
VIP Completions. " In addition to the size of the aircraft,
the degree of refurbishment is near total. The
BBJ is the gold standard for VVIP corporate airliners.
Working closely with our client, we will create
something unique among a standard of excellence. "
Floor plans include three principal cabin areas,
a large mid-cabin galley with bar area and three
lavatories.

Construction on Track at
Textron Aviations Expanded
Parts Distribution Facility
Progress continues on schedule for Textron
Aviation's parts and distribution expansion in
Wichita, Kansas. All flooring, exterior walls,
windows and roof are in place for the company's
180,000-square-foot parts warehouse expansion.
Now the team is focused on interior finishes, including
wiring, painting and preparing the space for the
thousands of Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker parts
the company stocks and ships to support customers
around the world.
The project, which broke ground in October 2022,
is on track to be completed by the end of the year.
The new footprint includes additional room for parts
storage, warehouse space, offices and dedicated customer
support analysts.

Pratt & Whitney to Expand GTF
MRO Capacity in Singapore
Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, announced plans
to increase the capacity of its Singapore engine center,
Eagle Services Asia (ESA). The 48,000-squarefoot
expansion will accommodate a two-thirds
increase from current facility capacity.
" Pratt & Whitney is investing globally to support
the GTF fleet. As part of the expansion, we will
increase staffing and provide extensive staff training
so that we are well equipped to meet the increased
JSSI Appoints New Director of Business
Development for U.S. West Coast
Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), one of the largest independent
providers of maintenance support and financial tools to the
business aviation industry, announced the appointment of Manuel
Ruanova as the director of business development for the U.S. West
Coast territory. After serving as the primary customer liaison for
Mexico and Central America for 13 years, Ruanova will use his
industry experience and expertise to focus on strengthening client
relationships in areas where JSSI has seen tremendous growth -
Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North
Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming.

aircraft maintenance and how it affects residual value made
him the obvious choice to spearhead this expansion. "

engine for overhaul in 2019. It is a joint venture
between SIA Engineering Company and Pratt &

Since 2019, the GTF MRO network has more
than doubled in size, and there are currently 13
active GTF MRO engine centers worldwide with
an additional six expected to be online by 2025.

Gulfstream Completes
Latest Strategic Facility
Expansion in Appleton
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has opened a new worldclass
paint hangar in Appleton, Wisconsin, which
is also home to a Gulfstream Service Center and a
large-cabin completions facility. The expansion is
part of a multi-year plan announced in 2021 that
provides customers the flexibility to experience the
entire aircraft completions process in Appleton. This
strategic growth has significantly increased operations
and created more than 200 jobs in the region.
The custom-designed, 73,000-square-foot facility
has the capacity to complete the exterior paint
process for up to 48 aircraft per year and represents
an investment of more than $55 million.
