Terminal Lobby Expansion Breaks Ground
Airport Begins Signature Destination CLT Project
Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) entered
a phase of Destination CLT with the groundbreaking
terminal lobby expansion.
The terminal lobby expansion will provide additional
circulation space on the arrivals/baggage claim and
departures/ticketing levels.

Roanoke Regional Airport Commission Names
Richard Osborne Director of Planning and
Engineering
The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission
announced Richard Osborne, CM, A.C.E.,
joined the staff as director of planning and
engineering.
"I am very excited to begin the role of
director of planning and engineering at ROA
and work with the airport commission, staff,
stakeholders and community," Osborne said.
"I look forward to opportunities that will
continue to make ROA a regional catalyst
for air service, cargo and economic growth.
With several projects in process and slated for this year
I'm excited at the opportunity to help position ROA for
success into the future."

Ontario International Airport
Names Dan Cappell Chief
Commercial Officer
The Ontario International Airport
Authority announced international
aviation consultant Dan Cappell will join
its executive ranks as chief commercial
officer, a position integral to the future
development of the Southern California
airport. Cappell, a 29-year veteran of the
international aviation industry began his
full-time duties Dec. 9.
Cappell commented, "I am honored to be joining the
executive team at Ontario and contribute to the vision for
growth as defined by the CEO and the board. Ontario has
a dynamic and forward-thinking executive team, with
incredibly exciting plans for the airport's growth over the
next 10 years. I can't wait to get started."

Billy Bishop Airport to Convert Marilyn Bell I
Airport Ferry to Electric-Power
PortsToronto announced that the airport's Marilyn Bell
I passenger/vehicle ferry will be converted to electricpower. PortsToronto anticipates that the ferry's retrofit
will be complete by the end of 2020.
The vessel's propulsion system will be entirely
powered by battery and fueled by 100 percent renewable
electricity, enabling the electric-ferry to eliminate
greenhouse gas emissions from the airport's ferry
operation. The retrofitted vessel will operate far more
quietly, dramatically reducing related noise in the
surrounding community.

McCreery Aviation Achieves Stage 2 IS-BAH
Registration
McCreer y Aviation has been awarded a Stage 2
International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling
registration designation after successfully completing a
comprehensive safety audit.
