Michael Musca Picked for LVK Airport Manager
The City of Livermore, California,
has named Michael Musca, A.A.E., as
airport manager for Livermore Municipal
Airport (LVK). Reporting to the Public
Works Director, Musca is the division
head responsible for overseeing and
managing LVK.
" I see this opportunity as a way to contribute to an
exciting airport and a forward-thinking city, and I feel I can
do so with my California airport management experience, "
said Musca. " I admire the airport team's work ethic and
collaborative spirit. And I share the fondness of LVK along
with its airfield tenants and pilots. "

LaGuardia Terminal B Named World's Best
New Airport Terminal, and the First in North
America to Achieve 5-Star Skytrax Rating
The New LaGuardia Airport Terminal B was
named the world's best new terminal based
on feedback from customers around the world
surveyed on factors including check-in, shopping,
security, comfort, ambiance, and choice of bars
and restaurants. Simultaneously, it was announced
that Terminal B is the first airline terminal in
North America to achieve the highest global
5-Star Airport Terminal Rating from Skytrax, the
international transport rating organization.

HNTB Names New
Senior Design Principal Aviation
Scott Gorenc, AIA, LEED AP, has joined
HNTB's architecture national practice as
senior design principal - aviation. He is
based in Dallas and will be leading design
for architecture projects nationwide.
Gorenc has more than 15 years' experience
in aviation architecture with a focus
on passenger experience and aviation systems innovations.
He has led project teams in visioning, master planning,
terminal and concourse design. He has been involved in
projects spanning the globe, including the Pacific region,
the Middle East, South America and the United States.
" Scott's thoughtful approach to design and how it helps
airports improve passenger experience further solidifies our
position as a trusted architecture advisor across all aspects of
the aviation industry, " said David Lopez Tome, AIA, ARB,
COAM, HNTB's national architecture practice leader and

Gorenc joins HNTB after serving as studio design director
at another firm. He is a registered architect in Texas.
He earned a Master of Architecture and Master of Business
