said, was that some of those profits were used to reinvest
back into the airport - for example, of the $1.4 million
in revenue for 2018, $340,000 went into design work for
the rehabilitation of a terminal apron (ramp) for the west
concourse. The apron design will be completed this year.
As a result, the airport will become eligible to compete for
$10 million in federal construction funding to complete
the project.

Dave Paddock Appointed New
President of Jet Aviation
Dave Paddock has been appointed as the new
President of the Jet Aviation Group, effective
July 1. Paddock succeeds Rob Smith, who
has served the company in this role since
2014. Smith is leaving Jet Aviation to join
General Dynamics' Marine Systems business
unit. A 20-year industry veteran, David
Paddock joined Jet Aviation in January 2007
as vice president of business development and
strategic planning. He was appointed to his current position
of SVP regional operations USA in January 2015, where he
is responsible for acquisitions, facility expansions and the
entire portfolio of Jet services. Prior to joining Jet Aviation,
Paddock served as vice president and managing officer for
SH&E, specializing in business aviation strategy, market
analysis and planning.

promoted to executive director of structures,
which spans 19 U.S. offices, five international
locations and comprises roughly 54 percent of the
firm's employees. Blair will captain an executive
suite of structural leaders, which includes Senior
Principals Mark Larsen, P.E., S.E. (Operations
Director), Viral Patel, P.E. (Director of Design),
and Mashari Nassar, P.E. (Client Director). A
27-year veteran at Walter P Moore and member
of the board of directors, He has served as a regional and
managing director for structures and as global aviation
practice leader. He has been instrumental in establishing
the firm as a leader in airport design, and in 2008 he founded
Walter P Moore's Washington, D.C. office, now the firm's
2nd largest U.S. location.

(AOPA) honored aviation legend Clay Lacy
and others at the fourth annual R.A. Bob
Hoover Trophy Awards.
Actor and general aviation advocate
Harrison Ford presented the 2019 Hoover Trophy to Clay
Lacy, the record-setting air race champion, military test pilot,
airline captain, cinematographer and entrepreneur.
Lacy, an airman from Wichita, Kansas, has logged 53,000
hours in more than 300 aircraft, earned 32 type ratings, set
29 world speed records, and f lown more than 2,500 film
missions from his adopted Los Angeles home.
