Announces Fixed-Base Operations Director
Fort Wayne-Al len County
Airport Authority has named
Justin Treft as director of fixedbase
operations. In this role,
Treft will be responsible for all
FBO services at Fort Wayne
Aero Center and Smith Field
Aero Center, including customer
relations, line operations,
fuel sales, hangar leasing, new
business development, quality
control, human resources, and
environmental and safety compliance.
Treft brings eight years of supervision and airline fueling
and training experience to his new role with Fort
Wayne Aero Center. He has worked for Fort Wayne Aero
Center since 2016.

Retirement of President and CEO Barry Rempel
The Board of Directors of
Winnipeg Airports Authority
announced President and CEO
Barry Rempel will retire at the
end of 2021.
" Barry's contribution to
Winnipeg is profound, " said
Brita Chell, chair of the WAA
Board of Directors. " Since joining
WAA in 2002, Barry has led
the airport's transformation into
the asset our community enjoys today. Throughout his
career, Barry has focused on service to the community
and that approach is now embedded in the culture of our
company. It is no doubt the main reason WAA has been
one of Manitoba's Top Employers for 10 years in a row.
Whether rolling up his sleeves at the airport garden to help
grow vegetables for those in need or finding innovative
ways to diversify the company's business model, Barry's
impact will be lasting. On behalf of the entire board,
I want to thank him for his service to our airport and
community. "
Since joining WAA as president 2002, Rempel led a
period of unprecedented redevelopment of the airport
campus. By focusing on mutually beneficial partnerships,
he and his team brought new tenants to the airport, including
Canada Post and General Electric, new airport hotels,
and importantly for the development of the community,
worked to deliver significantly expanded air cargo operations.
The largest publicly visible project during his tenure
was the new air terminal building that opened in 2011.

Project Journey Security Checkpoints and
Concourse Dedicated at Reagan National
Airport
Federal, state and local officials joined Metropolitan
Washington Airports Authority President and CEO
John E. Potter, Board of Directors Chairperson William
Sudow, and other dignitaries for a dedication ceremony
to celebrate Project Journey, Reagan National Airport's
$1 billion capital improvement project to enhance the
passenger experience.
The project is the airport's most significant expansion
of facilities in nearly 25 years and will substantially
improve customer convenience, passenger connectivity
and security standards. Key components include
a 225,000-square-foot 14-gate concourse that began
serving passengers in April and two new 50,000-squarefoot
security checkpoint buildings that opened open
in early November.

Metropolitan Airports Commission Names
Integrated Operations Director
Chad Leqve, vice president of management and operations
at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC),
has named Joseph Hennessy as the organization's first
integrated operations director.
" Joe Hennessy brings to the job a strong background
in aviation safety, management and collaborative process
development, " Leqve said. " Joe's inclusive, data-driven,
servant-leader approach to challenges and opportunities
will be key to the success of the new Integrated Operations
Department. "
That department is responsible for promoting
cross-functional alignment, process optimization, communication
and data-driven decision making, with a
particular focus on safety, efficiency and performance.
As director, Hennessy will oversee airfield operations,
process integration and optimization, operation analysis
and planning, airfield regulatory compliance and technical
operations training programs.
