Chicago Executive Airport Names Jeffrey Miller
Executive Director
After a nationwide search, the Chicago Executive Airport
(PWK) Board of Directors selected airport veteran Jeffrey
Miller as its new executive director. Miller has more than
a decade of experience in airport management, recently
serving as the airport director at Laredo International
Airport in Laredo, Texas.

Terminal & Customs Facility
Operations worldwide can now fly in and fuel up at
Overland Aviation as the FBO recently opened a new
U.S. Customs facility and luxury terminal.
The 51,000-square-foot executive terminal and
hangar complex marries industrial architecture with
natural wood elements for a high-end aviation experience.
It is complete with an executive passenger
terminal and pilot lounge, a private terminal for oil
laborer crew-change flights, management and rental
office space, a heated hangar to accommodate aircraft
up to a Gulfstream G650, and a U.S. Customs general
aviation facility to welcome international operations.
Located directly under the Great Circle Route
between Europe and the western portion of the United
States, Overland Aviation is in a prime position for
international stopovers.

Miller now manages the day-to-day operations for
CEA, which is jointly owned by the village of Wheeling
and city of Prospect Heights.
A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University,
he has a bachelor's degree in aviation management and
a master's degree in aviation finance. He is an Airport
Certified Employee and an Accredited Airport Executive
with the American Association of Airport Executives
and was recognized among the 2020 Airport Business
Top 40 Under 40.

Pond Wins $2B Contract to Improve U.S. Air
Force Infrastructure Worldwide
Pond has been awarded a $2 billion pool contract by
the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC)
to improve infrastructure at airfields around the
world. The AE Next Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite
Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract
(MATOC) for Architect-Engineer (AE) Services will
be completed over a 10-year period.
Airfield infrastructure includes any work associated
with airfield pavements, including runways,
overruns, helipads, taxiways, aprons, landing zones,
communications infrastructure, storm water systems,
visual air navigation facilities, security fencing and
access control, airfield lighting, aircraft arresting systems,
and ancillary facilities such as airfield lighting
vaults, equipment shelters, and petroleum fueling
hydrants, piping and associated facilities.

Jviation, a Woolpert Company, Opens Office in
St. Louis to Expand Aviation Services
Jviation, a Woolpert Company, has opened an office at
4625 Lindell Blvd. near Forest Park in St. Louis. Jviation
is an airport planning, survey, architecture, engineering
and construction management firm that now has three
offices in Missouri and 10 across the country.
Woolpert Senior Vice President JD Ingram said this
new St. Louis office will complement Woolpert's office at
343 Fountains Parkway, Suite 100, in Fairview Heights,
Illinois. It will directly support the company's work for
aviation clients in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois.

ADB SAFEGATE Completes Acquisition of Protec
Automation
ADB SAFEGATE has acquired Protec Automation
GmbH, specializing in airfield lighting control systems,
power technologies and services in the field of industrial
automation. The deal was closed in Mannheim, Germany,
on Sept. 30, and the official announcement was made in
Eckental, Germany, on Oct. 4.
The move to acquire first started as the companies
partnered with key customers.
