Vail Valley Jet Center Joins World Fuel Services'
FBO Network
Vail Valley Jet Center recently selected World Fuel
Services for fuel supply and comprehensive FBO solutions,
including brand programs, deice supply and advanced
truck technology. Building on its existing TotalFBO
software solution, the Jet Center is now equipped with
the most innovative end-to-end FBO solution on the
market for their global customer base.

'BNA Vision' Opens Fourth Major Concourse
Nashville International Airport (BNA) opened
its new Concourse D July17, adding six domestic
aircraft gates, 115,000 square feet of terminal
space, public art displays and a variety of
amenities for travelers.
The $292 million, 25-month-long project also
includes a 200,000-square-foot expansion of the
north and south ticket wings, a 136,000-squarefoot renovation of existing terminal space and an
11,000 square-foot central utility plant.
Built by Hensel Phelps Construction Co. and
designed by Fentress Architects, BNA's new
Concourse D represents more than 1 million
hours of labor by more than 2,100 workers.

maintenance plan of $1.42 million
annually for a total contract amount
of $37.5 million. The companies
were selected in part because of their innovative concept
and functionality to deliver accurate and efficient thermal
temperature screening for people traveling to Hawaii.
The selection committee evaluated various systems
and technologies and NEC and Infrared Cameras were
determined to be the best fit for Hawaii's needs.

Aircraft Specialists Opens New Facility
Aircraft Specialists (ASI) announces the opening of its
new FBO and hangar complex at Clark Regional Airport
( JVY).
The 22,600 square-foot facility features a spacious
lobby with a modern aesthetic. The space allows for a
clear view of the airport as two walls of windows afford
ample natural light. Guests also benefit from a functional
kitchen, complimentary snacks and beverages, a well-

appointed conference room and a comfortable pilot's
lounge, complete with a full bath. In addition, the complex
features a new 18,200 square-foot hangar with 28-foot
doors, able to accommodate aircraft up to a G-550.
The new facility offers easy access to and from the ramp,
in addition to curbside pickup and drop off for customers
in the main parking lot. This efficiency, in addition to
the FBO's location just 10 minutes north of Louisville,
Kentucky, makes ASI the most convenient f ly-in option
in the greater Louisville region and the FBO of choice
for the Kentucky Derby.

NEC-Led Team to Provide Hawaii's Airports with
Passenger Screening Technology
NEC Corp. of America and their partner, Infrared
Cameras Inc., were selected by the Hawaii Department of
Transportation (HDOT) to provide thermal temperature
screening and facial recognition technology at Hawaii's
public airports to help protect the community and identify
passengers with a potentially elevated body temperature.
The companies combined resources to submit a unified

Ricky Smith Elected Chairman of Airport
Minority Advisory Council
Ricky Smith, executive director of
Baltimore/Washington International
Thurgood Marshall Airport, was elected
to a two-year term as chairman of the
Airport Minority Advisory Council
(AMAC) during the organization's
virtual annual meeting June 24.
Smith served as an at-large member of
the AMAC Board of Directors over the
past year and has been an active member
of the national organization for many years.
