the schedule for its new virtual education
series, the Fall Festival of Knowledge. NAMA
will offer weekly webcasts covering relevant
and innovative issues in convenience services.
Topics include Decision-Maker Selling: Using
Journey Research to Connect with New OCS
Customers; Technologies for Transforming to
a Touchless Operation; and Channeling Ghost
Kitchens: Expanding Delivery Services with an
Integrated eCommerce Platform.
Call for speakers for Spring 2021
NAMA also announced a call for speakers for
its Spring 2021 webinar series.

USA Technologies surveyed
474 businesses - including
336 vending operators - to
assess COVID-19's effects
on the industry and key
trends emerging from the
pandemic.
The survey data revealed
shifts in payment method.
The 120,000 cashless
terminals analyzed
experienced 51% growth in
sales per machine overall,
with 61.7% of total sales
in July 2020 made with
cashless payments, versus
53.1% in January. The
survey results also revealed
changes to products and
services offered driven
by changing consumer
demands; 27% of operators
offered new products and
services, including personal
protective equipment (PPE)
products, boxed lunches
and take-out options.
Consumers are driving this
trend toward cashless and
contactless payments due
to the demand for secure
payment solutions.
