Metropoulos & Co. has
entered into a definitive
agreement to purchase
Nestlé Waters North
America. The two privateequity firms are paying
$4.3 billion for the
world's largest bottled
watter company. Dean
Metropoulos will be the
company's chairman and
interim chief executive.
Among the Nestlé water
brands being acquired
are Poland Spring, Splash,
Arrowhead and Pure Life,
along with Deer Park,
Ozarka and Zephyrhills,
as well as ReadyRefresh,
a customizable water
and beverage delivery
service. Nestlé's Perrier,
S.Pellegrino and Acqua
Panna lines are not part of
the sale agreement.

Heights IL. Gilland served with NAMA from
2000 to 2015 as vice president of sales.

Donald G. Tober dies at 89

Tober

Tober made Sweet'N Low a staple at home
and in foodservice and office coffee. He
was a former chairman of IFMA and vice
chairman of CIA. He died on Jan. 15.

Ravi Venkatesan joined the cashless
payments company as chief technology
officer, a newly created post. He comes from

marketing. She has been involved in office
coffee since 1985 and is NAMA's first female
recipient of the Coffee Legend award.

Stack succeeds Drewry Pearson, who held
the top post for 25 years. He was previously
MBS's operations director and has been at
the forefront of specialty coffee initiatives .

Zippin hires former Aramark exec Gary
Jacobus to lead business development

Jacobus

The checkout-free tech firm appointed
Jacobus senior vice president of business
development. He most recently served with
SSP America and Aramark.
