5. Clamshell socket for 6. Integrated GaAs
1-mm Pitch Xilinx FF896 technology optimized
for 5G front ends
Ironwood Electronics recently
introduced a new highperformance BGA socket for a
1-mm-pitch BGA, 896-pin Xilinx
IC. The CG-BGA-4027 socket
is designed for 31-mm x 31-mm
package size and operates at
bandwidths up to 27 GHz with
less than 1 dB of insertion
loss. The socket is designed
with an easy-open clamshell
lid mechanism to enhance user
experience when using highpin-count devices in the socket.
The socket also features an
integrated compression plate
that retains force during various
environmental conditions. The
socket has heatsink with fan for
dissipating 6 W.

7. Compact, highresolution two-axis
gimbal mount

WIN Semiconductors Corp. has
combined an advanced 100-GHz
ƒt enhancement-mode pHEMT
with monolithic PIN and Schottky
diodes to provide best-in-class
mmWave performance for all
front-end functions. The PIH1-10
platform is designed for singlechip 5G front ends operating in
the 24-GHz to 45-GHz bands. The
PIH-10 technology provides a new
set of integrated GaAs solutions
that improve mmWave front-end
performance. High-efficiency
Ka-band GaAs power amplifiers,
LNAs, and low-loss switches on
a compact single-chip front-end
can enhance the user experience
through improved battery life and
better 5G mmWave coverage.

Optimal Engineering Systems'
compact AU100-ER two-axis
gimbal mount features a full 360
degrees of continuous rotation of
each axis. This compact two-axis
gimbal mount handles loads to
10 kg (22 lbs) and has a clearance
of 300 mm x 300 mm (11.8 in.
x 11.8 in.) about the roll axis of
the stage. The pitch axis stage
is mounted on a large 360-mm
x 360-mm (14.173-in. x 14.173in.) 13-mm (0.512 in.) plate for
increased stability. The compact
AU100-ER two-axis gimbal
mount is suitable for lasers and
instrumentation for scanning,
tracking, positioning, pointing
cameras, optics, and lab and
research applications.

8. Differential
measurement system
Kaman Precision Products' KD5100 differential measurement
system provides resolution to a
nanometer of positional change.
With its stable design, small size,
and low power consumption,
the KD-5100 is suitable for
night-vision systems, precision
telescope positioning, fast
steering mirrors (FSM) for spacebased and airborne applications,
and image stabilization systems.
Featuring a small package size -
only 2 x 2.12 x 0.75 in. thick - the
KD-5100 is a good choice for
applications where space is a
limiting factor. It is manufactured
to MIL-H-38534, with MIL-SPEC
components used throughout
the electronics module wherever
possible.
