The Present and Future
As has been the case with many airports around the world, the
sharp drop in passenger traffic during the epidemic caused huge
losses. Indeed, a number of international airports stopped their
operation, or even closed.
The pandemic was used by the TTIA to push the progress
of various renovation projects, including the replacement of
facilities and equipment in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, as
well as resurfacing the south and north runways. Lin emphasizes
